Why Choose This MS70 First Strike 2011 25th Anniversary American Silver Eagle?

The American Silver Eagle was first struck by the U.S. Mint in 1986. These coins became popular very quickly and today they are among the most widely collected bullion coins in the entire world. 2011 was the 25th anniversary of the series and a special 5-piece Silver Eagle set was offered for the occasion. Production of these sets was limited to 100,000. The 2011 Silver Eagle offered here is from a 2011 American Silver Eagle 25th Anniversary Set.

  • This coin was graded by PCGS.
  • It\'s from a 2011 Silver Eagle 25th Anniversary Set.
  • It has the same silver content as other coins of the series.

Classic Silver Eagle Design

Obverse: This side of the Silver Eagle displays one of the most well-known U.S. coin designs of all-time, Adolph A. Weinman's Walking Liberty. Liberty is pictured carrying a bundle of oak and laurel branches as she walks with one arm extended. The date is at the bottom of the design.

Reverse: The reverse shows a heraldic bald eagle design by John Mercanti. In addition to his designs, Mercanti is known for the time he served as Chief Engraver of the U.S. Mint. The silver weight is inscribed on this side.
