Why add this 2010-W $50 Gold Buffalo NGC Proof 70 Ultra Cameo Early Releases Proof 70 Ultra Cameo Early Releases to your collection?

This 2010-W $50 Proof Gold Buffalo is ideal for collectors who like proof finishes and classic designs. This piece features the images from the famed Buffalo nickel, which James Earle Fraser designed nearly a century before this coin was struck. The animal for which the coin is named appears on the reverse in full left-side profile. Its massive body dominates the horizontal diameter of the coin, with its bowed head touching the edge and its tail swinging toward the holder, just shy of the edge on the right. Among the inscriptions on the reverse are “$50,” the coin’s face value, and “1 OZ. .9999 FINE GOLD.” Like the image on the reverse, the one on the obverse makes the most of the face of the coin. That image is a composite portrait of a Native American man. The tops of his shoulder rises from the bottom, and the top of his head nearly touches the edge at the top, just as the feathers at the back of his head do the side. Weighing 1 Troy oz. and having a purity of .9999, this piece received a perfect grade of PF70 Ultra Cameo from the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC).
