Why add this 2008-W $25 1/2 oz. Gold Buffalo NGC MS70 (Exclusive Buffalo Label) to your collection?

This 2008-W ½ oz. Gold Buffalo is ideal for collectors who like modern coin that take on classic numismatic designs. Taken from the famed Buffalo nickel that was designed by James Earle Fraser in 1913, this coin, like his original, successfully achieves his goal of being immediately recognizable as American. On the reverse of the coin is a full left side profile of the animal that gives the coin its name. Fraser used the full diameter of the coin to capture the massiveness of the beast, which nearly touches the edge on both the left and the right. Several inscriptions are included above and below the animal, including "$25," the coin’s face value, and "1/2 OZ. .9999 FINE GOLD," its weight and purity. On the obverse is a composite portrait that Fraser created after using several Native American men as models. The man in the portrait faces the right side of the coin, and feathers adorn the back of his head. A "W" Mint mark under the feathers indicates that the coin was struck at the West Point Mint. This coin has been certified as flawless by the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC), which gave it the highest possible grade of MS70.
