Why add this flawless 2008-P Bald Eagle Proof Silver Dollar to your collection?

2008 marked the 35th Anniversary of the Endangered Species Act, established in 1973 to provide conservation programs for the ecosystems of endangered species such as the Bald Eagle. To celebrate the milestone, and to commemorate the act's impact on the recovery of the Bald Eagle species, the U.S. Mint issued three coins as part of the Bald Eagle Commemorative Coin Program in 2008: a $5 gold coin, a copper-nickel clad half dollar, and this silver dollar. This silver proof, with a diameter of 38.1mm, and weight of 26.73g, was struck at the Philadelphia Mint from 0.7736 Troy oz. of .900 fine silver with a final reported mintage of 294,601.

Breathtaking imagery and details
