Why Order This Proof 70 Deep Cameo 2007-W 1 oz. Proof American Gold Buffalo?

In 2006, the US Mint unveiled the American Gold Buffalo series of coins. Today, the Gold Buffalo is one of the world's most popular gold bullion coins. Each one is made of 24 karat gold and guaranteed by the US Mint to contain the actual gold weight stated. This 1 oz. Gold Buffalo was struck in 2007 at the West Point Mint. It has a proof finish and a face value of $50. This coin had a moderate mintage, there were 58,998 of them struck.

An American Classic

The design on the Gold Buffalo was taken from the Buffalo nickel designed by James Earle Frasier back in 1913. When the new 24 karat gold bullion coin series was launched in 2006, it was decided to use a classic American design like on the Gold Eagle. The obverse of the coin depicts a Native American, while the reverse depicts a Buffalo.
