Striking President John Adams Design by Joel Iskowitz
Obverse: The obverse bears a portrait of President John Adams that was designed by Joel Iskowitz and sculpted by Charles L. Vickers. His name, "JOHN ADAMS," arches over the effigy. Below are inscriptions of his ordinal place in the line of Presidents, "2ND PRESIDENT," and his years in office, "1797-1801."
Reverse: The reverse design, which is common to all issues in this series, was created by Don Everhart, a former Lead Sculptor-Engraver for the United States Mint. Along the rim is a frame that bears an inscription of the name of the issuing country, "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA."
