Why purchase this 2007-P Little Rock School Desegregation Commemorative Set?

The desegregation of Little Rock Central High School in Arkansas was a ground-breaking event in the American Civil Rights movement. By order of President Dwight D. Eisenhower, nine African-American students were escorted by members of the U.S. Army into the school on September 25, 1957. In tribute to the 50th Anniversary of the history-making event, and the immeasurable courage of the "Little Rock Nine," the U.S. Mint issued a commemorative coin and medal in 2007.

  • This Philadelphia Mint 2007-P Little Rock Central High School Desegregation set includes a silver dollar coin and a bronze medal.
  • The coin contains 0.7736 Troy oz. of .900 fine silver.
