Why buy this 1 oz. Silver 2007-Mo Mexico Libertad?

This 1 oz. Silver 2007-Mo Mexican Libertad would make a prized possession for Libertad collectors because it comes from the fourth lowest mintage in the series, just 200,000 pieces. Issued by Banco de Mexico and struck from .999 fine silver at the Casa de Moneda de Mexico, this coin bears a unique "Mo" Mint mark on the reverse.

Patriotic Winged Victory Design

The current Mexican coat of arms is at the center of the obverse. Taken from ancient native religions, the image consists of an eagle that is perched upon a cactus eating a rattlesnake. Modern interpretations of the image say that it symbolizes good's triumph over evil. Ten historical Mexican coats of arms encircle the current one.

Winged Victory, a statue that symbolizes Mexican independence, stands at the center of the reverse. She is bare breasted, as her garment falls away. Iztaccíhuatl y Popocatepetl, Mexican volcanoes, rise on either side of her in the distance.

High Grade Uncirculated Mint State 68 with Exclusive Mexico Label

This coin received a grade of Mint State 68 from the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation. That means that it was very sharply struck but has some minuscule imperfections. This grade has been provided on a label that bears one of the most famous landmarks in Mexico, the pyramid at Chichen Itza, against a background of the Mexican flag.
