Obverse: Lady Liberty is depicted on the obverse, strolling towards the rising sun, while draped in an American flag and carrying an enormous oak and laurel bouquet. Inscribed "LIBERTY," "2006" and "IN GOD WE TRUST." This time-honored rendition of Liberty, credited to acclaimed early 20th century sculptor Adolph A. Weinman, first appeared on the 1916 Walking Liberty Half Dollar.

Reverse: The reverse features an eagle grasping an olive branch and arrows, surrounded by the inscriptions "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "1 OZ. FINE SILVER," "ONE DOLLAR," "E PLURIBUS UNUM," and the "P" Mint mark of the Philadelphia Mint. Created by 12th U.S. Mint Chief Engraver John Mercanti, the heraldic eagle image is the identifying element of the Type-1 style Silver Eagle, which was minted from 1986 until mid-2021.
