Why Make This PCGS MS70 2006 Silver Eagle the Next Addition to Your Collection?
Of all the annual bullion coins offered by Mints around the world, the American Silver Eagle is one of the most well-known and widely collected. These .999 fine silver coins are struck by the U. S. Mint. This 2006 Silver Eagle has a brilliant uncirculated finish, so it does not have a mint mark. There were 10,676,522 of these minted.
Highly Detailed Liberty and Bald Eagle Designs
The date is located on the obverse. This side of the coin shows a design known as Walking Liberty, which was originally created by Adolph A. Weinman. Liberty is depicted in the stars and stripes as she strides across the scene with one arm extended.
The central portion of the reverse shows a detailed bald eagle with a shield over its chest and a banner in its beak. It's holding arrows and an olive branch with its talons. This design by John Mercanti also includes 13 stars for the original colonies.
MS70 from PCGS
To have this Silver Eagle graded and encapsulated, it was submitted to the Professional Coin Grading Service (PCGS). When it was examined by their team of experts it was found to be flawless, so it received the grade of Mint State 70.
