Why order this 1 oz. Silver China 2005 Panda?

This 2005 Silver 1 oz. China Panda is not only a beautiful coin that would be loved by those who collect animal-themed coins, but it also makes for a touching gift from a parent to a child or a child to a parent. The coin was struck at the Shanghai Mint from .999 fine silver and is backed by the People's Bank of China.

Touching Panda Design

One of the most famous buildings in Beijing's Temple of Heaven, the Hall of Prayer for Abundant Harvests, rises at the center of the obverse. The building is a beautiful example of traditional Chinese architecture. At the top of a rim frame is "People's Republic of China" in Chinese characters, while the year of issue, "2005," is inscribed at the bottom.

On the reverse design is a mother panda eating bamboo with her cub. The mother is seated and faces slightly to the left of the holder, while the baby stands to the left facing its mother. Several bamboo stalks serve as the background. The weight and purity of the coin are inscribed in the upper left, while its face value is inscribed below.

High Grade Uncirculated Mint State 68

This coin received a grade of Mint State 68 from the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC). That grade is given to coins that were struck very sharply but have some minuscule imperfections.
