This 2004-W Silver Eagle PR69 Deep Cameo mirrors the design of America’s very popular bullion coin, the Silver Eagle. This coin can stand alone as a beautiful rendering of an American classic or as an addition to a collection of classic American coins.
Design of this 2004-W Silver Eagle PR69 Deep Cameo
An adaptation of Adolph Weinman’s Walking Liberty is featured on the obverse of this 2004-W Silver Eagle PR69 Deep Cameo. In the lower left is the setting sun, with its rays emanating upward and outward. Lady Liberty strides to the left side of the coin with her right arm stretched out in front of her. She carries symbols of civilian and military honors, branches of laurel and oak, in her left hand. The national motto, “IN GOD WE TRUST,” is inscribed above her left foot, which extends behind her. “2004,” the year of mintage, is inscribed under her right foot, and the word “LIBERTY” arches around the top portion of the image.
On the reverse is John Mercanti’s 1986 adaptation of the Great Seal of the United States. An eagle spreads itself around the shield that it guards, which represents the country. The words “E PLURIBUS UNUM” are inscribed on a banner that extends horizontally from the bird’s beak. In its talons, the bird carries a symbol of peace, an olive branch, and symbols of America’s willingness to fight for its values, arrows. Thirteen stars are arranged in a triangle over the eagle’s head. Two inscriptions, “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA” and “1 OZ. FINE SILVER~ONE DOLLAR,” encircle the image.
