Why add the 2004-W $5 1/10 oz. American Gold Eagle graded Proof 70 Ultra Cameo to your collection?

This 2004-W $5 American Gold Eagle was graded Proof 70 and given the coveted Ultra Cameo designation by the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC). It has a low mintage of 35,131 units.

The Gold Eagle is the official gold bullion coin of the United States. The Mint introduced this popular series in 1986. This coin contains 1/10 oz. of gold and bears a face value of $5.

The obverse is the same as the "Double Eagle" $20 gold coin which was designed by famed American artist, Augustus Saint-Gaudens. The image of Liberty is featured. She strides confidently forward carrying a torch and an olive branch. Behind her is the US Capitol Building and the rising sun. This is thought by many to be the most beautiful coin design ever struck by the US Mint.

The US Mint's engraver Miley Busiek designed the reverse of the coin. It features a bald eagle in flight above his nest. In the nest are his mate and young.

Proof coins are specifically struck for collectors. These coins are created using specialized equipment, preparations and materials. The 70 portion of the grade (as in Proof 70) means that the coin is free from imperfection and exhibits excellent surfaces and eye appeal.

Whether you are adding this 2004 West Point Gold Eagle to your collection or buying it as a gift, order it today. Coins of this quality are not available for long.
