Why should you purchase this Mint State 70 1/10 oz. 2002 Gold Eagle for your collection?

The American Gold Eagle is the official gold bullion of the United State of America. Coupled with a limited mintage, fractional sizes, and the gold purity of .9167, these coins have become a very popular purchase with collectors and stackers alike. This is a 1/10 oz. Gold Eagle that was struck in 2002 by the U.S. Mint.

Featuring a rendition of Augustus Saint-Gauden's classic Lady Liberty

The obverse was closely modeled after the Saint-Gaudens Double Eagle, which was originally released in 1907 after the 26th President of the United States, Theodore Roosevelt commissioned the artist to create a design reminiscent of Ancient Greek and Roman coinage.

The reverse is a design created by artist Miley Busiek, and features a large male eagle in flight. It carries a branch of olive to his awaiting mate and young, huddled in the safety of their nest.

Graded Mint State 70 by NGC

The Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) awarded this coin the grade of Mint State 70, meaning this coin has been well- struck and is of sublime quality. It lacks any sort of post-production blemishes or defects.
