2002 $25 Gold Eagle

The American Gold Eagle has been annually issued by the United States Mint since 1986. The regular issue is a mainstay of the bullion market and the proof issue is a favorite of many collectors. However, the regular Gold Eagle can have collectible value as well. This coin is made of 22 karat gold and has an actual gold weight of ½ Troy oz. In 2002, the final mintage for the regular ½ oz. Gold Eagle was 70,027. This figure isn’t particularly low or high for this coin, but perfect examples can be difficult to find.

NGC MS70 2002 ½ oz. Gold Eagle

This 2002 ½ oz. Gold Eagle has been graded by the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation, NGC. Using their industry standard 70 point grading scale, this coin received a perfect MS70. While there were a reasonable number of ½ oz. Gold Eagles produced in 2002, perfect coins aren’t numerous. When you add this coin to your collection, feel secure knowing that it is permanently sealed in one of the best holders in use today. The NGC holder is both protective and non-reactive.

If you want another gold coin for your collection, this NGC MS70 2002 ½ oz. Gold Eagle is a great choice!
