Featuring the iconic design from the Saint-Gaudens Double Eagle!

The obverse features a design from the classic American coin, the Saint-Gaudens Double Eagle. This design has been admired since its introduction in 1907 as its design echoed the classical depiction of Lady Liberty. Liberty is depicted in front of the Capital building with rays of sunlight shining around her, in her hand, she carries a torch to light her way.

Artist, Miley Busiek designed the reverse of the American Gold Eagle, with a depiction of a male eagle carrying an olive branch to his nest where his mate and their young wait for his return.
