2000 United States Mint set of 20 coins in the original mint packaging

Continuing the Statehood quarter series, the 2000 mint set ties the record for the most coins in a set so far with 1999 having ten quarters that continue the statehood quarter series. Mintage of these sets was a little higher than 1999 possibly because of the new date beginning with a '2' digit celebrating the dawn of a new millennium, and possibly because the popularity of the new Statehood quarter series was really picking up steam, and all ten quarters could be obtained together only here in this set.

The 20 coins represented in this set are one each, Philadelphia Mint and Denver Mint examples of the following: Lincoln cent, Jefferson nickel, Roosevelt dime, Statehood Washington quarters representing Massachusetts, Maryland, South Carolina, New Hampshire, and Virginia, and the Kennedy half dollar.

These coins all come in four cellophane sleeves, each sealed into a pocket, with blue borders on the Philadelphia sleeves, and red borders on the Denver sleeves. The whole set comes in a thick envelope with a graphic design on its outside.

These wonderful sets would make a great gift for any coin collector born in 2000, or who has a special anniversary from 2000. Buy now from Modern Coin Mart and the shipping is on us if you live inside the United States!
