Why purchase this 2-Piece 1 oz Gold/Silver 2020 Reverse Dragon Re-Strike Set?
This Set of 2 Gold and Silver Reverse Dragon Restrikes is perfect for collectors of Chinese-themed pieces. It is a restrike of the original 1911 Reverse Dragon Silver Dollar. Both were struck at the New Century Mint in China, one from one ounce of .999 fine silver and the other from 1 oz of .999 fine gold. Both of these pieces are part of extremely low mintages, with just 1,000 silver and 100 gold pieces struck. The obverse and reverse alike have been struck in high relief.
Exquisite Dragon Design
Both pieces share common designs. On the obverse is an imposing dragon. The dragon is a revered creature in Eastern culture. It is suspended in mid-air among the clouds. The dragon chases a fiery pearl, which is near the bottom of the design. The flaming pearl is a symbol of wisdom. At the center are a pair of Chinese characters that indicate the denomination, while the words "ONE DOLLAR" are inscribed at the bottom.
Manchu and Chinese characters spread throughout the reverse. Inside a circle in the middle is an inscription that means, "Great Ch'ing (Dynasty) Silver Coin." The Chinese characters on the outside portion mean "Hsuen Tung, 3rd Year."
Flawless PF70 UC
The experts at Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) certified that both of these pieces are in Proof 70 condition and Ultra Cameo. The Proof 70 grade is reserved exclusively for coins that appear perfect even under 5x magnification, while Ultra Cameo means that a coin exhibits particularly sharp contrasts between heavily frosted devices and deeply mirrored fields.
Don't miss your chance to own this 1 oz Gold/Silver 2020 2-Piece Reverse Dragon Re-Strike Set.
