Why add this flawless pair of First Day of Issue 2021-W and 2022-W Burnished American Silver Eagle Type-2 coins to your collection?
The American Silver Eagle series was issued by the U.S. Mint from 1986 until mid-2021 with no major changes made to its imagery. The Silver Eagle Type-2 features the addition of enhanced details to the historic obverse rendition of Lady Liberty and a complete replacement of the reverse Type-1 heraldic eagle design with an image of an eagle preparing to land.

Breathtaking Beauty of the Silver Eagle Type-2 Design
Obverse: Lady Liberty is portrayed as a young woman walking towards a new day's sun on the obverse. Her elegant form is enveloped by an American flag as she carries a bundle of oak and laurel branches, which represent endurance, honor and triumph. Inscribed "LIBERTY" and "IN GOD WE TRUST," with the date of issue "2021" or "2022." This time-honored design is the work of award-winning early 20th century sculptor Adolph A. Weinman, originally created for the Walking Liberty Half Dollar in 1916. Mr. Weinman's "AW" monogram located beneath the motto is new to the Silver Eagle Type-2 style.
Reverse: The reverse is graced with a majestic eagle carrying an oak branch, with its wings uplifted in preparation for landing. Inscriptions include "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "1 OZ. FINE SILVER," "E PLURIBUS UNUM," "ONE DOLLAR" and the West Point Mint's distinctive "W" Mint mark. The image is an example of the nature themed illustrations of U.S. Mint Artistic Infusion Program artist Emily Damstra.
