Why add this Blast White 2-coin set of Morgan and Peace Silver Dollars to your collection?

Immediately following the passage of the Bland-Allison Act in 1878, the U.S. Mint began to steadily produce silver dollar denomination coinage. First, the Morgan Dollar, designed by George T. Morgan, which was replaced by the Peace Dollar designed by Anthony de Francisci in 1921. Both series were produced at multiple U.S. Mint facilities, each struck from 0.7734 Troy oz. of .900 fine silver with a diameter measurement of 38.1 mm.

Silver Dollar Imagery

Designs of the Morgan and Peace Dollar follow the regulations set forth in the Coinage Act of 1792 signed into law by President George Washington. Each obverse features a dramatic female personification of liberty, the inscribed word "LIBERTY" and the year of issue. The image of an eagle, the national bird of the U.S., adorns each reverse, accompanied by varied inscriptions that were required by the Act to include "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA."
