Why add this 1999-W Gold American Eagle to your collection?

The American Gold Eagle was first released by the U.S. Mint in 1986 and with that first release, the coin has become the most popular gold bullion coin in the world. It has long been valued by stackers and collectors for its classic design featuring the work of Augustus Saint-Gaudens and for its metal content of .9167 pure gold.

Depicting two patriotic designs, created by Augustus Saint-Gaudens and Miley Busiek!

Featured on the obverse is a depiction of Lady Liberty. This image was created in 1907 for the Saint-Gaudens Double Eagle, a design which played an iconic role in American coinage. Liberty is shown in front of the Capital building with rays of sunlight radiating behind her, she holds out a torch to guide her way.

The reverse features the design of Miley Busiek. In the image, a male eagle is pictured carrying an olive branch to his nest, where his mate and their young wait.
