Why add this 1999 American Silver Eagle to your collection?
The American Eagle coin program first began in 1986, and has become a favorite of many coin collectors’ over the years. American Silver Eagles are released annually and each year’s release contains one Troy oz. of 99.9% silver. This 1999 Silver Eagle bears what many consider one of the most notable and favored designs ever to be struck on an American coin!
The design found on the obverse of this 1999 silver eagle is easily recognizable to many as being the famous depiction of lady liberty design by Adolph Wienman. This design was first struck on the famous Walking Liberty half dollar in the year 1916, and remained on the denomination until 1947. The beautiful iconic design features lady liberty dressed in the American Flag walking gracefully as the sun begins to rise. On the obverse of this coin the design depicts a heraldic eagle situated below thirteen small stars; each representing the first thirteen colonies.
The purchase of this coin is the perfect way to add silver content to a coin collection, fill up any open space in a silver eagle collection, give as a gift or simply commemorate this special year in history.
