Classic Kennedy Half Dollar design
The Kennedy Half Dollar design is based upon a presidential medal, the design of which had been approved by Kennedy himself not long before his assassination. The obverse is graced with the bust of Kennedy, facing left, designed by Gilroy Roberts. The reverse, designed by Frank Gasparro, features the United States Presidential Seal, surrounded by a circle of fifty stars.
