1996 US Mint Uncirculated Coin Set
Like always, the U.S. Mint released a set of uncirculated clad coins for the current year, with a copy from the Denver and Philadelphia Mints. These coins do not have any more value than their own face value, but they are very unique and special to the collector. Being untouched by human hands, these coins have much more luster than the average pocket-change we use as currency, and grouped together as a set, makes them perfect for any U.S. coin collection! Also included is a special token from each Mint, and a special dime from West Point commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Roosevelt dime!
In addition to the 2 dimes in this set from Denver and Philadelphia, there is a special Roosevelt dime from West Point included exclusively in this Mint set. This dime was made, as mentioned, to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Roosevelt dime. It is unique because of its relatively low mintage of 1,457,000 coins produced. It also has a “W” West Point Mint mark, not seen on typical West point issues!
Why add this set to your collection?
This set is the perfect opportunity to add some collectible uncirculated U.S. coins to your collection! Not only are they perfect for being an all-inclusive collection of the coins released for circulation in 1996, but they also contain the unique tokens for the Denver and Philadelphia Mints, and a West Point dime!
PLEASE NOTE: This U.S. Mint product was not purchased by us directly from the Mint but from collectors like you and other dealers. We make every effort to make sure the packaging is acceptable and that the coins are problem free. You may, however, receive coins that have toning or haze. This occurs naturally over time and is common to see. There may be some imperfections in packaging due to the sets leaving one collection to go into another. Please keep this in mind when examining your sets.
