All of these coins are inscribed with the American motto “IN GOD WE TRUST,” as well as the San Francisco Mintmark of “S.” The Lincoln Cent appears in the upper left of the packaging, and features an effigy of President Lincoln facing the right of the coin. “1996” and “LIBERTY” are inscribed around this portrait. On the reverse side is a detailed engraving of the Lincoln memorial, with the statue of the famous president visible. Inscribed around this design is “E PLURIBUS UNUM,” “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” and “ONE CENT.” Under the penny in the packaging is the Jefferson nickel. Jefferson faces to the left with a poised look on his face. “LIBERTY” followed by the year of mintage, “1996” appear, inscribed around the portrait. On the reverse of this coin is an image of Jefferson’s home and plantation, “Monticello.” “E PLURIBUS UNUM” and “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA” are inscribed on the coin, as well as the denomination, “FIVE CENTS.” The obverse of the dime, which is in the upper right portion of the display, features an image of America’s thirty-second President, Franklin Delano Roosevelt facing to the left. The word “LIBERTY” as well as “1996” can be seen on this design. On the reverse of the dime, a torch, olive branch, and oak branch are seen. Inscribed around this image is are “E PLURIBUS UNUM” and “ONE DIME.” On the bottom right of the packaging is the Washington Quarter. This coin features an image President Washington with a look that conveys confident control, just as one would expect from such a leader. “LIBERTY” and “1996” are inscribed around the portrait. On the coin’s reverse is an image of an eagle clutching a bundle of arrows. “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA” and “QUARTER DOLLAR” are seen inscribed on this reverse. The largest coin in the set is in the middle of the packaging. It is the Kennedy Half Dollar, displaying an image of the youthful President, facing to the left. “LIBERTY” and the year of mintage, “1996,” are inscribed on the obverse.
