Silver proof sets were not offered by the U.S. Mint until the early 90s. This set is from 1995 and was struck at the San Francisco Mint. The regular clad proof sets are very popular, but silver proof sets are much more collectable and have higher values. One contributing factor is their lower production numbers. The 1995-S silver proof set contains the same number of coins as its standard clad counterpart, 5. The Lincoln cent and Jefferson nickel have a standard composition. The Kennedy half, Washington quarter, and Roosevelt dime are all 90% silver. While this doesn’t add up to a tremendous amount of silver, it does add intrinsic value.
