1994-S United States Clad Proof Set GEM Proof in Original Mint Packaging
This 1994-S United States Clad Proof Set is perfect for anyone who truly appreciates the designs of the coins used in circulation in the United States. This set has five proof coins, the Kennedy half dollar, the Washington quarter, the Roosevelt dime, the Jefferson nickel, and the Lincoln cent. The Lincoln cent stands out in the group because of its copper color, as well as the fact that it is the only coin on which the president’s effigy shows him facing to the right side of the coin. These coins come set in a green display that bears the words “UNITED STATES PROOF SET” at the bottom. The mint mark of the San Francisco Mint, an “S,” appears on the obverse of all of the coins, differentiating them from the circulated versions of the coins, which were minted in Philadelphia and Denver.

The U.S mint began releasing annual proof sets in 1936 that included one proof of each coin that was struck for circulation that year. The practice continues to this day with many collectors considering the annual proof set a ‘must get’ every year.
