Why should your purchase this Proof 69 1993-W $50 American Gold Eagle for your collection?

First released by the U.S. Mint in 1986, the American Gold Eagle stands as the most popular gold bullion coin in the world. The coin is valued by both stackers and collectors, for both its metal content of .9167 pure gold and its remastered design by highly respected sculptor Augustus Saint-Gaudens.

Featuring the designs of both Augustus Saint-Gaudens and Miley Busiek

The design of the obverse is a rendition of Lady Liberty, as she appeared on the 1907 Saint-Gaudens Double Eagle. This classic coin depicted Lady Liberty with flowing hair carrying an olive branch and torch. To the right of the design is a Mint mark for the West Point Mint.

Depicted on the reverse is a male eagle carrying an olive branch to his awaiting mate and their young, this design was created by artist Miley Busiek.
