Why purchase this Proof 69 Ultra Cameo 1992-P 1/2 Gold American Eagle Proof $25?

This Proof 1992-P US $25 American 1/2 oz. Gold Eagle provides collectors looking for a series first, as this was the first time that the Gold Eagle date was inscribed with Arabic numerals rather than Roman numerals. Struck from .9167 fine gold, this coin was part of a mintage of 40,976 pieces, the lowest mintage of any 1992 Proof Gold Eagle. The coin bears the "P" Mint mark of the Philadelphia Mint.

Beloved Saint-Gaudens design

The obverse design, which gets its name from its creator, Augustus Saint-Gaudens, made its debut on the double eagle. It features Liberty standing at the center, confidently facing the holder in a strong breeze. She holds two items that are rich in symbolism, her torch of freedom in her right hand and an olive branch, a symbol of peace, in her left. The rays of the morning sun emerge from the horizon, making for a truly mesmerizing backdrop.

Virtually perfect Proof 69 Ultra Cameo

This coin was awarded the second highest available grade, Proof 69, by the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC). That means that the coin has a minuscule flaw or two, but no flaws are visible to the naked eye. NGC also credited the coin for having deeply mirrored fields and heavily frosted devices by certifying it as an Ultra Cameo.
