Why should you consider purchasing this exquisite Gold American Eagle for your collection?

The Gold American Eagle was first introduced by the U.S. Mint in 1986 and has since been one of the most popular gold bullion coins in the world. The series is valued by both collectors and stackers as it is the first modern bullion series authorized by the U.S. Congress and backed by the U.S. Mint, ensuring the weight, purity and metal content. This American Gold Eagle was struck in 1987 from 1/2 Troy oz. of .9167 pure gold and features striking designs created by Augustus Saint-Gaudens and Miley Busiek.

Featuring exquisite designs of American imagery

The obverse bears a full-length figure of Lady Liberty, this design was originally created by Augustus Saint-Gaudens in 1907 and depicts Liberty with strength and beauty. The full-length design features Liberty standing, holding a torch and olive branch while radial lines surround her. Inscribed to the right of the design in the date of release and above her reads, "LIBERTY."

Created by Miley Busiek, the reverse bears an image of a male eagle carrying an olive branch and flying towards his mate and hatchling.
