1973-S Silver Eisenhower Dollar
While the circulating Eisenhower dollars had a clad composition, the collectible uncirculated and proof issues sold directly to collectors were 40% silver. This 1973 Blue Pack Ike was struck in San Francisco and has a regular finish.
1973 Blue Pack Ike with Original Packaging
This uncirculated 1973-S Eisenhower silver dollar is what’s commonly called a Blue Pack Ike. The collectible uncirculated Ike dollars from the San Francisco Mint were originally sealed in cellophane and packaged in a blue envelope. This coin is still in its original packaging. Since this coin was not purchased by MCM from the US Mint, expect some wear on the packaging. Natural aging of the coin may also be visible, but it is uncirculated. This coin also comes with a blue plastic Mint token.
1973 S Silver Ike Dollar Design
The front of the Eisenhower dollar shows none other than President Dwight D. Eisenhower. The date can be found on this side as well. The reverse of the coin shows a bald eagle just over the surface of the moon with Earth in the distance.
