Why buy this Proof 1972-S Eisenhower Silver Dollar with a Charlie Duke signed label?

This 1972-S Proof Eisenhower Silver Dollar is the perfect choice for collectors who admire the last American General to serve as President. It comes from the second issue in the short-lived series. This piece was struck from .316 g of .400 fine silver. It was part of a mintage of 1,811,631 pieces and bears the "S" mint mark of the San Francisco Mint. The date of 1972 is significant because it represents the year that legendary astronaut Charlie Duke became the 10th and youngest man to walk on the Moon.

Powerful President Dwight D. Eisenhower Design by Frank Gasparro

Both faces of this coin bear the designs of Frank Gasparro. The obverse features a left-side portrait of President Eisenhower in which he bears a look of control and confidence. The national motto, "IN GOD WE TRUST," is inscribed in the lower left, while "LIBERTY" and "1972" are also included on this face.

The reverse celebrates the Apollo XI landing on the moon. An eagle lands on the moon with an olive branch in its talons. The Earth is included in the distance to the upper left of the bird's head.

Virtually Flawless PF69 Cameo with Black Core Holder and Charlie Duke Signed label

This coin comes set in a sleek black core holder provided by Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC). NGC gave the coin a Proof 69 grade, their second highest, which indicates that a coin appears nearly flawless to the naked eye. It was also given the Cameo designation for the contrast exhibited between the mirrored fields and frosted devices. The label on which the grade is provided was signed by Charlie Duke, the tenth man to walk on the moon.

Don't miss your chance to own this Silver 1972-S Proof Eisenhower Dollar.
