Why Choose This Circulated Series 641 1965-1968 10 Cent U.S. Military Payment Certificate?
While the certificate shown here is not a federal reserve note, it was printed by the Bureau of Engraving and Printing. This certificate is from the Vietnam War era, this style was issued from 1965 to 1968. Certificates like this one were used as a form of compensation for U.S. Military personnel stationed in Vietnam. These certificates could only be used on U.S. Military bases. This specimen is from series 641.
Series 641 10 Cent Certificate
On the obverse of this note, the detailed depiction of a woman can be found on the left portion of the design. The serial number is to the right and "SERIES 641" is just above the serial number. The face value is printed on multiple locations on this side of the note.
Like the obverse, the reverse displays the face value in multiple locations as well. The central portion of the design shows a detailed bald eagle with its body low while it spreads its wings. Its status as a Military Payment Certificate and the terms of its use are printed at the bottom of the design.
This certificate is in circulated condition. It has visible signs of wear.
