Why add the 1948-1963 Silver Franklin Half Dollar GEM BU in Album to your collection?

This Silver Franklin Half Dollar Album is the entire date and mint mark set of 35 Coins and can be yours in GEM BU condition. The U.S. Mint struck the Franklin Half series at the Philadelphia, Denver and San Francisco branches from 1948 through 1963 when the series was ended sooner than anticipated due to the adoption of the Kennedy Half Dollar. The coins are struck on .900 fine silver planchets and each contains .3617 oz. of silver.

An American Numismatic Classic

John Sinnock, the Eighth Chief Engraver of the U.S. Mint designed the series. The obverse features the portrait of Benjamin Franklin. This image was modeled on the bust of Franklin sculpted by Jean-Antoine Houdin. The reverse image on the coin features the Liberty Bell based on a John Frederick Lewis' drawing. Chief Engraver Sinnock had previously used the image on the 1926 U.S. Commemorative Half Dollar that celebrated the sesquicentennial of American Independence. The Franklin Half reverse was finished by engraver Gilroy Roberts after Sinnock's death in 1947.

GEM Brilliant Uncirculated examples have no evidence of wear or circulation. These coins are sought after due to their superior eye appeal and original, lustrous surfaces. They would grade at the MS65 level or higher if submitted to third party grading services.
