Classic President Abraham Lincoln Design by Victor David Brenner

Obverse: Like the reverse, the obverse was designed by Victor David Brenner. It features a right-side portrait of one of America's most beloved Presidents, Abraham Lincoln. The national motto, "IN GOD WE TRUST," is inscribed at the top of the rim. Other obverse inscriptions read, "LIBERTY" and "1943."

Reverse: On the reverse, two ears of wheat flank a pair of inscriptions. In large lettering, they read, "ONE CENT" and "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA." Also inscribed on this face is the second statutory motto, "E PLURIBUS UNUM." Victor David Brenner was born in the part of the Russian Empire that is modern day Lithuania. He was a sculptor, medalist, and engraver who is best known for designing the Lincoln Cent.
