Coca-Cola is the most consumed soft drink in the entire world. In fact, it has been for decades and that's in addition to also being the most consumed soft drink in the United States. On average, Coca-Cola products are enjoyed 1.7 billion times per day around the world. With so many who enjoy Coca-Cola, it's no wonder that there are so many Coca-Cola collectors as well. On top of being a household name, the company itself has had an interesting history both in terms of events and the memorabilia that has been left behind by marketing efforts over the years.

The history of Coca-Cola goes back to 1886. That was when the formula was created by pharmacist John Pemberton and the beverage was sold for the first time. The beloved beverage gained popularity quickly at the local level, which attracted the interest of other businessmen and investors. Pemberton split and sold some of the rights not long after seeing the initial success of Coca-Cola. However, the Coca-Cola Company that we know today was not formed by Pemberton, but by Asa Candler. Candler spent years acquiring all of the rights to the Coca-Cola name and formula for himself before creating a new company.
