1928 Peace Dollar
The 1928 Philadelphia Peace dollar has an interesting story behind it. While the mintage was low, these coins seemed to be almost unobtainable when they should have been circulating. This coin is one of the most in-demand Peace dollars today as well.
The 1928 Philadelphia issue of this coin had the lowest mintage of the Peace dollar series. Only 360,649 of these were struck. This issue of the Peace dollar also appeared to be scarcer than it was because the coins were not openly released into circulation by the Philadelphia Mint. Today, 1928 Peace dollars in any condition are significantly valuable.
