Why add the 1925 Saint-Gaudens $20 Gold Double Eagles NGC MS64 Green Label to your collection?
This 1925 Saint-Gaudens $20 Gold Double Eagle coin earned the fantastic Mint State 64 (MS64) grade from the third party grading firm Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) and qualified for the prestigious NGC Green Label, the result of a collaboration with Rare Coin Company of America (RARCOA), a leading numismatic distributor.
Iconic Historical Design
Obverse: The design features Lady Liberty striding forward with confidence, an olive branch held at her side and the Torch of Freedom above her. The designer of this coin, Augustus Saint-Gaudens was an Irish-born, American Sculptor.
Reverse: The reverse of the coin features the majestic bald eagle with the dawning sun behind. The motto "In God We Trust" appears in later issues like this one but is absent from the original design.
Excellent Collector Coin in High Grade
NGC defines the Mint State 64 grade as a coin with an "average or better strike" and "minuscule imperfections." These coins have lustrous, original surfaces and attractive eye appeal. This is a spectacular example and rarity, given the age of the specimen. This piece qualified for NGC's Green certification label which indicates that this coin not only met the strict grading requirements of NGC, but prior to being submitted for grading, the experts at RARCOA inspected the coin for features such as eye appeal, the strike, luster, and toning, ensuring only coins possessing an exceptional quality are awarded this exciting Green label.
