Why Choose This BU 1925 and 1926 Almighty Peace Dollar 2 Piece Set?
The first Peace silver dollars were struck by the U.S. Mint in 1921. These 90% silver coins replaced the Morgan dollar and were inspired by the peace that followed the end of World War I. The Almighty Peace dollar set offered here includes 2 coins. One of the Peace dollars was struck in 1925 and the other was struck in 1926. The 1926 displays the word "GOD" on the obverse with a higher level of relief than what is seen on the 1925. Both of these coins were minted in Philadelphia.
Exquisite Classic Designs by de Francisci
The obverse of each Peace dollar features an iconic depiction of Liberty. The date is at the bottom of the design below Liberty's neck. The inscription "IN GOD WE TRUST" can be found on this side, the difference between the 1925 and 1926 specimens is noticeable.
The reverse shows a detailed bald eagle design. Both the obverse and reverse are the work of Anthony de Francisci. The bald eagle is shown perched on a rocky ledge with a sapling growing from it.
