Why add the 1924-P Silver Peace Dollar NGC MS64 Green Label to your collection?
This 1924-P Peace Dollar is available in the Mint State 64 (MS64) grade as determined by Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC). This coin was awarded NGC's Green Label style, which is the result of a collaboration between NGC and one of the leading numismatic distributors in the United States, Rare Coin Company of America (RARCOA).
Landmark 20th Century Design
Obverse: The obverse features the portrait of the artist's wife Teresa as a young, vibrant Liberty wearing a crown of rays. This design symbolized the freshness of Liberty contrasted against the previous horrors of the Great War.
Reverse: The reverse features a bald eagle standing on a rocky outcrop clutching an olive branch. The image has the feel of calm after a storm.
What is MS64?
Mint State 64 graded coins are stunning, lustrous, well struck examples with few distractions. They will display a few bag marks or distractions but they will tend to be in non-focal areas or be small enough to overlook. The Green Label is only given to coins that RARCOA has hand-selected as being of top quality due to having features such as razor-sharp striking, excellent eye-appeal, booming shine, or intriguing toning. After that, the coins are sent to NGC for grading and encapsulation. Only coins of excellent quality that fulfill RARCOA's stringent standards are eligible for the Green Label, allowing collectors to easily identify exceptional coins that have undergone both NGC's certification process and RARCOA's examination.
