Youthful Liberty Obverse
Obverse: The obverse features the portrait of a "young and vital" Liberty, reflecting the vibrancy and optimism of the 1920s in America. She faces left with a crown of rays emanating from behind her head.
Reverse: The reverse image is an Eagle at rest on a mountain peak. Rays emanate from behind with the word "Peace" centered below the image. This is the only circulating U.S. coin to feature that inscription.
Lustrous MS64 Example
Mint State 64 circulation strikes of this age are often sought after by collectors. They feature brilliant, lustrous original surfaces and no meaningful evidence of handling. They are well struck and have minute imperfections that tend to not be distracting. To earn the Green Label, prior to being submitted to NGC for grading and encapsulation, the coin must first meet or exceed a set of numismatic requirements involving luster, strike, and eye appeal determined by Rare Coin Company of America (RARCOA), one of the leading numismatic distributors in the United States.
