Why add the 1922-P Silver Peace Dollar NGC MS65 Green Label to your collection?
This 1922-P Silver Peace Dollar is an excellent example with a high Mint State 65 (MS 65) grade from Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC). This example also qualified to carry the grading company's prestigious Green Label, the result of a collaboration with Rare Coin Company of America (RARCOA).
Legendary Peace Dollar Design
Obverse: The obverse of the coin features the head of a "young and vital" Lady Liberty, reflecting the post-war optimism of the 1920s. She is depicted facing left with a crown of rays emanating from behind her head.
Reverse: The reverse image is an Eagle at rest on a mountain peak. Rays emanate from behind with the word "Peace" centered below the image. The eagle is designed in a less aggressive stance purposely.
Lovely MS65 Green Label
Mint State 65 coins of this advanced age are often sought after by collectors. They feature brilliant, lustrous original surfaces and few (if any) bag marks and no apparent evidence of handling. Coins in this grade are struck-well. To qualify for the Green Label, a specimen must meet NGC's strict requirements for authentication and grading. However, prior to certification and encapsulation, coins that qualify for the Green Label must first meet a set of guidelines established RARCOA’s team of experts to ensure qualifying coins are of exceptional quality.
