First struck from 1921 to 1928, the Silver Peace Dollar was released to celebrate the end of the first world war and is meant be emblematic of peace. This Silver Peace Dollar was struck at the U.S. Mint in 1921 and features the classic work of Anthony de Francisci - his design of Lady Liberty and an American eagle.

Created by Anthony de Francisci, the obverse features a left-facing portrait of Lady Liberty wearing a radiate crown. Inscribed on the coin is the date of release, the American motto "IN GOD WE TRUST," and "LIBERTY."

The reverse features a majestic bald eagle perched on a rock and clutching an olive branch in its talons. Encircling the design are inscriptions that read, "ONE DOLLAR," "PEACE" and traditional American mottoes.
