Why purchase this Elite 30 VAM 1H Polishing Lines variety 1921 Silver Peace Dollar?

To commemorate the restoration of peacetime following World War I, the U.S. Mint launched the Silver Peace Dollar series in 1921. The imagery for the coin was determined by a competition held by the Commission of Fine Arts. The winning design was submitted by Italian-American sculptor Anthony de Francisci, whose wife Teresa was the model for the coin's Lady Liberty portrait. In the late 1960s, numismatists Leroy Van Allen and A. George Mallis catalogued a vast amount of die varieties of the Morgan and Peace Dollar series, differentiating the unique types with VAM numbers. This 1921 Peace Dollar is certified as an Elite 30 VAM 1H, which is characterized by distinctive circular die polishing lines on the obverse and reverse.
