Why Buy This MS64 1921 Pitted Reverse Morgan Silver Dollar?

While the Morgan silver dollar was originally minted for circulation from 1878 through 1904, these coins were also struck in 1921. The Morgan dollar shown here was struck at the Philadelphia Mint in 1921. However, this specimen displays a Hot 50 die variety, which makes it much more appealing than its standard counterpart.

Classic Morgan Dollar Design with Pitting

These coins are known as Morgan dollars because the obverse and reverse designs are the work of George T. Morgan. Liberty is depicted with a cap on the obverse. The date can also be found here among 13 stars.

The reverse shows a detailed bald eagle design. This eagle appears powerful with its wings up and chest out. The pitting that was present in the dies is visible on this side of the coin.

MS64 from PCGS

The Professional Coin Grading Service (PCGS) was trusted with grading and encapsulating this classic coin. The experts there use a grading scale with a maximum of 70. This specimen is in uncirculated condition and received the grade of Mint State 64 (MS64).
