Why Buy This XF 1921-D Morgan Dollar?

In 1921, production of the Peace silver dollar began. It was also the last year of issue for the Morgan silver dollar, although prior to 1921 the last time a Morgan dollar was struck was in 1904. The 1921 Morgan dollar shown here was minted in Denver. It was the only year that these coins were struck at the Denver Mint. There were 20,345,000 of these minted. This is one of the highest mintage figures of the series.

Exquisite Patriotic Designs from Morgan

While these coins are called Morgan dollars, the woman depicted on the obverse is actually Liberty. The name comes from the man who created the designs, George T. Morgan. If you're looking for the date, it's just below Liberty.

The reverse shows a bald eagle as it holds its wings high in the air. The inscription "IN GOD WE TRUST" is between the tips of its wings. Since this coin was struck in Denver, it has a "D" mintmark. It's located above the face value.

It was considered to be in Extremely Fine condition. Wear is visible, but many original details can still be seen.
