Why add the Brilliant Uncirculated 1915 Austria-Hungary Gold 100 Corona to your collection?

This 1915 Austria-Hungary Gold 100 Corona ships to you in Mint fresh Brilliant Uncirculated condition. This issue was originally struck in 1908 to celebrate the 60th year of Emperor Franz Joseph's reign by the Austrian Mint. Each coin is struck on a .900 fine gold planchet and contains .9802 oz. AGW. The 1915 issue is a "restrike" specifically created for collectors of European bullion coins.

Classic Franz Joseph obverse design

The obverse image of the coin was designed by Stefan Schwartz and features the right-facing effigy of Franz Joseph I, Emperor of Austria and King of Hungary. This was the last portrait of the Emperor created for use on coinage as he died in 1916. The reverse of the coin features the Lesser Common Austria-Hungary Coat of Arms. The image is that of a double-headed eagle carrying a sword and royal sphere or orb. Over the eagle's two heads is the Imperial Crown of Austria. The eagle is protected by a shield bearing the Habsburg, Babenberg and Lorraine Coats of Arms and wears a Chain of the Order of the Golden Fleece. Truly a grand image.
