Obverse: The obverse of the coin features a Native American Chief in left profile wearing a ceremonial headdress. The design was struck below the fields of the coin.
Reverse: The reverse of the coin features a bald eagle standing on a bundle of arrows. At the tip of the arrows is the iconic "D" mint mark.
