Production of the Morgan silver dollar began in 1878 and continued through 1904. These coins were also struck in 1921. Each one is 90% silver and many collectors are drawn to these coins because of the history surrounding them. This 1904 Morgan dollar was struck at the New Orleans Mint. It had a moderate mintage of 3,720,000 pieces.

Detailed Classic Designs on Obverse and Reverse

The obverse of this silver dollar features a classic portrait of Liberty. In this design, she's shown wearing a cap and facing the left. There are plenty of fine details to observe. This is a George T. Morgan design, the date is at the bottom.

The inscription "IN GOD WE TRUST" can be seen between the tips of the eagle's wings on the reverse. This design is also the work of Morgan. The eagle is pictured holding a bundle of arrows and an olive branch. The "O" Mint mark is between the wreath and the face value.

Toned NGC MS64

This coin has toned with age. When it was submitted to the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation it was found to be in uncirculated condition. It received the grade of Mint State 64 from their 70 point grading scale.
