Why Choose This MS64 Toned 1904-O Morgan Dollar from the Great Montana Collection?

While a number of other coins were circulating during the same period, the Morgan silver dollar is commonly seen as a symbol of the Wild West. These coins were issued from 1878 through 1904 and then again for a single year in 1921. The New Orleans Mint struck this silver dollar in 1904. There were 3,720,000 of these minted; this figure is a bit low for a Morgan dollar. The specimen offered here also displays toning and it was a part of the Great Montana Collection. This hoard of approximately 17,000 coins was discovered in 1998.

Stunning Depictions of Liberty and a Bald Eagle by Morgan

The reverse shows a bald eagle with a bundle of arrows and an olive branch. It has its wings held high and it's partially surrounded by a wreath. The mintmark is located just above the face value.

MS64 Toned

When this coin was submitted to the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation it was assigned the grade of Mint State 64. That means this silver dollar is in choice uncirculated condition and has few flaws.
